1 Day Ago07/02/2012Here's a good idea: get an Android device where the platform is not trying to force the market into specific usage patterns but rather letting the market decide through via an open, inviting, and empowering platform.
Might I suggest the recently announced Nexus 7? In my probably-not-relevant-to-you opinion, 7" is the ideal form factor for a tablet, large enough to be comfortable, small enough to be comfortably portable.
This article reads like "the iPad is broken and here are a few ideas on how to fix it." Rather than trying to convince a despotic organization into action, there is a credible, excellent, and open alternative. The last point is of crucial importance in that your investment (money, time, files, etc) is likely to live for _much_ longer than on a closed, single-sku product.
