Apple articles would wisely look at Apple versus the total market - showing a trend towards a 5-10% market share in 3 years time, while a look at the non-Apple market would be very interesting in a few months time, with Samsung tied up in legal string, Microsoft and Motorola relaunching.
it'll be especially interesting to keep an eye on Microsoft, as all their recent noise suggest they are going for the top end of the market, head-to-head with Apple while traditionally, they have been very much a mass market / business market company.
