Today06/18/2012Yes it does make you wonder about the "value" of surveys and rankings we see on the web all the time. I'm a healthcare blogger and a couple years ago I shook up the Hospital and Doctor ratings when I found my former doctor who had been dead for 8 years still listed as active and taking new patients..amazing. This was HealthGrades who now has been bought by a marketing firm, so will we see a clean up there or more marketing? Do these surveys and ranking sites really hold the value that every states...good question and further substantiates the increase of "flawed data" online. I call it the Attack of the Killer Algorithms and thus started a series with public examples.
